The Institute of Veterinary Practice Development was formed in June 2002. Currently it has branches in Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu Natal and Namibia with a total membership of 147 paid up members.

Description
The primary initiative is to identify the principle concerns of the private owners and to systematically address these as a group. Through the pooling of data, talent and experience and by involving business and financial specialists, we identify optimum practice management, with a variety of key areas being highlighted. At all levels of activity, there will be a general subscription to the highest standard of integrity and transparency with the IVPD introducing guaranteed, effective mechanisms to ensure confidentiality and protection of privacy.
The IVPD is a dynamic and innovative organisation constantly striving to introduce new ideas and savings to its members and currently has exciting new benefits in the pipeline.
